SharePoint to Boost Tourism and Citizen Service
The town of Sagunto, with almost 70,000 inhabitants and a privileged strategic logistics location, is one of the most important cities in the Valencian Community.
Besides being a city of services with great industrial potential, Sagunto has a great reputation for being an outstanding tourist town due to the large number of historical-artistic and cultural assets it has, not to mention its excellent beaches.
For all this, the City Board of Sagunto indicated to its technical services that they wanted to enhance the tourism potential value of the town, as a starting point for the new corporate Web Portal.
Results
Previous Situation
The starting point was a web portal with a marked orientation to the administrative services and the general services of the city council, with notable difficulties in managing and coordinating the various municipal departments in terms of generating and publishing content.
Counting on the guidelines established by the mayor and its objective of “Enhancing the value of the SAGUNTO brand” we proposed the new information architecture and visual design suitable for the project.
Benefits
For this project, in addition to giving a renewed look and feel, we have definitively marked the editors and Content Publishers’ roles in a fast and simple way.
On the other hand, innovative high-potential services have been enhanced, which has enabled us to generate synergies among the multiple departments, based on the use of SharePoint CMS. Multiple high-impact services for the citizens: Video channels for multimedia content, Political Directorate or services for the Automation of Contents and News Feed on social networks. Not to mention a functional design aimed at enhancing the SAGUNTO Brand.
